Re Cafe

Re Cafe which has a theme of Refresh, Rejuvinate and Retreat is a dining cafe in Ambiance Mall,1st floor, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

Ambiance

It had a different jazzy ambiance from outside. There were few tables at the entrance overlooking the lobby of Mall.

Outside sitting

Cafe seemed to have utilized the space optimally and judicially as there was no disturbance to guests at all. Live DJ was playing jazzy numbers. Overall atmosphere was refreshing.

Event

On certain days there is an event to entertain diners. That day it was laughter strokes.

Innovative seating with cycle tyres as the base of table

To the right of entrance door, was a table with 3 cycle tyres as the base. It was a different concept specially to lure kids.We visited this Cafe on next day Children’s day. I had known through reviews about kids zone in Re Cafe.

Games and books for kids and teenaged

To the opposite of this section, there was a separate area and seating arrangement for kids. Wooden stairs with wooden slabs in the middle were fixed for kids to play and eat.To my surprise, there were many games for all ages of kids starting from blocks, ludo, life till chess,scrabble etc.

We sat on the stairs only to give company to kids while they played. An attendant was appointed on the section to cater to needs and demands of kids. Yes, they were prompt too! Kids got comfortable fast with the environment and easily requested for their demands to the attendant. They had access to things like Hoopla, cards, chess etc. We could see them having a gala time. They were happy to see their demands fulfilled promptly. Staff was attentive to their needs and also courteous.

To the left of kids area, was a little section with three four tables, a DJ table and study area on left and counter. I thought, how thoughtfully the Cafe was designed considering needs of variety of customers.

Next to the counter was an area where around 10-15 tables were laid with a big glass window overlooking the entrance of mall. It was a nice view.

As we settled, kids were already busy selecting their games. After a while, we tried Bhel and papad cones which were delicious with appropriate spices. Papads were crispy. I just wanted to fill with this dish.

Basket potatoes were crispy and fried properly with good spices. It was not chilly. So, I was fine.

Bruschetta  and paneer tikka in the papdi platter were good.

I then ordered mixed fresh lime soda which had no fizz so exchanged it with fresh line water which was OK.

We then tasted chicken platter having Chicken wings, sausages and boneless chicken.Chicken wings were good. Sausages were soft but I did not relish much. Boneless chicken was what my little one liked. All chicken dishes were non spicy.

We then ordered grilled sandwiches and vegetable panini. These platters were amazingly tasty with perfect sauces and vegetables. French fries in platters were crispy and delicious. We liked both the dishes. Kids too relished both dishes. Fries were their favorite.

Service

Service was prompt both to us and to kids. Staff ensure guests convenience.

There are many other options like Idli papdi chaat, Veg noodles soup, Keema/Paneer/egg parantha, North Indian veg and non veg platter , soups and many more.
