We went on a short weekend trip to visit Sariska tiger reserve. After a swift journey from Delhi we reached Sariska Palace by noon and checked in. Although , the last three kilometers was very bumpy due to broken roads , it became comfortable as we entered Sariska Palace. Sariska was just 5 hours drive from Delhi. The hotel Sariska Palace was an inviting property. We learnt that this was a royal hunting lodge of King of King of Alwar. This was converted to a hotel. The property is just opposite to Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar District of Rajasthan. Hotel had sprawling lawns welcoming us as we entered the palace.

It’s one of the most popular high end hotels in Sariska offering a unique view of the Sariska Tiger Reserve. It was this fact for which we booked our rooms in this hotel when we visited Sariska.

The hotel was totally booked and we reached our room after walking for a while.

There were big lawns with greenery right across our window. Kids were superexited and enjoyed as we had tea in open area.

We went with kids to play in the garden area besides swimming pool. It was a nice enjoyable evening followed by buffet dinner in the restaurant which was on the ground floor facing open area. The staff was attentive and courteous. They took special care of the kids. Terrace had beautiful hill views.

We went to Tiger reserve the next day early morning. It was a tiring day but we got refreshed as we came back and had our delicious lunch. Although the food was little spicy , we enjoyed our lunch.

As we relished our dinner we had a cultural evening to enjoy. It included puppet show for kids, Rajasthani folk songs and dances including fire stunts. Dancers danced and did stunts while dancing. There was a show to blow fire in the air, dancing feet on the nail bed. A lady carrying earthen pots on head. It was a memorable experience overall.

I would recommend this place to all visitors of Sariska Tiger Reserve.
