The Elysium gardens hotel is in the heart of main Munnar city in Kerela.

It’s one of the popular budget hotels offering a unique feature of its serene atmosphere with views of Munnar township. We actually had not planned to stay here but we booked our rooms in this hotel since Green jungle holiday resort was very far off and a little scary or aloof.

We went on a long trip to Kerela which included two days at Munnar. Enjoying elephant safari on our way back from Jungle holiday resort, we reached hotel by noon. After a tasty lunch in the open lawns with greenery in the backdrop of tea gardens and mountains we rested for a while. We then enjoyed walking in Munnar city where we went shopping for spices, tea packets and soverniors.

The hotel Elysium Garden is an average hotel but since it’s in the city, it was packed. Being in the center of city is a plus point of this hotel thus increasing its crowd. The rooms were dimly lit and not very clean. The ambience of the hotel is decent from the entrance. However only few rooms offered a good view. There was a nice view from parking. We did not find rooms as sophisticated.

I would recommend Elysium Garden to all visitors of Munnar only for a budget accommodation purpose.
