So, here are top 5 tips to travel with kids to high altitudes

1.Plan in advance and meticulously as weather can surprise you.  Carry clothes according to estimated temperature of the destiation before reaching there so that you take ample woollen clothing and layers of clothes, ear muffs, mufflars, mouth covers, gloves, caps and dry fruits, chewing gums, popcorns, sweets, vicks, camphor tablets, anti vomiting tablets or syrups, acidity or painkillers for kids to combat side effects of extremely low temperatures and dirth of oxygen

2. While reaching the location, carry extra pair of clothing, shoes for kids just in case, they wet their clothes. Carry some food stuff, water in case of any natural calamity if you get stuck. Ensure kids play with snow while wearing gloves to avoid any frost bites.

3. Start before time and try to spare some extra time for kids. At the beginning, ascend or descend of journey to be done during sunlight. Go slow. Stick to timings provided by guide, instructor or hotel authorities and locals. Dont rush and be over enthusiastic. Keep having warm liquids like tea and take breaks

4. While travelling, be watchful of stone falls specially in landslide areas.

5. If there is any breathing problem, come back to your car. If the problem increases, retreat at once. Ask for help from locals. Life of yourself and kids is priority rather than sightseeing.

Stay safe. Happy journey.
