Sky Escapes!
Well, Kerala is known for its diverse landscape. Too much is too less to tap its tourism potential. Kerala Tourism keeps coming up with multiple initiatives to keep its tourism at an upper edge. After the introduction of Caravan Tourism Kerala Tourism has now surprised us with Heli Tourism branded as Sky Escapes to connect state’s top destinations. Multiple Heli pads available in the state would be used to aid this concept for both domestic and International tourists.

Sky Escapes is expected to be a game changer for the state as Houseboats have been. Tourism Director Shri. P.B. Nooh IAS said that the introduction of new destinations, innovative tourism circuits, broadening the REsponsible Tourism, Rural Tourism and investments in infrastructural development will allow tourists to experience vvillage life, empower villagers and also ensure better connectivity further complimenting the Kerala Tourism.

Mr. Nooh also said that importance is being given to also boost big fat destination weddings, Ayurveda, Adventure Tourism, honeymooners leveraging its stunning natural beauty, magnetic destinations and excellent hospitality with overall good connectivity.

Taking the advantage of state’s diverse geographical features, a number of alluring events have been planned for the future months-

  • International Paragliding Festival at Vagamon, Idukki from 14th March to 17th March
  • International Surfing Festival at Varkala from 29th to 31st March
  • Mega Mountain Biking event, MTB Kerala at Wayanad from 26th to 28th April
  • Malabar River Festival ar Kodencherry in Kozhikode from 25th to 28th July

The governement is committed to create a conducive environment for boosting the tourism and local economy. Many Eco adventure tour packages are being designed to attract young and new age vacationers seeking thrill.

I have myself have been to Kerala several times and am ready to go there even more times.
