Narayani Heights appeared to be a very promising hotel in Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad as per my internet research. It indeed was when I reached the hotel. It is located near Apollo Hospital and is just 3 kms and 3/4 minutes away from Ahmedabad Airport and 15-20 minutes away from railway station.

Narayani Heights is as high class as it looks in the virtual world. As one enters the massive drive way, glass door entrance with few countries flags welcome.Beautifully designed, huge but delicate chandeliers enhance the overall decor of the lobby. Sparkling floors and seating arrangement define interiors of the hotel.

Further ahead are elevators and stair case decorated with planters refreshing the atmosphere.

Meeting rooms, Business centre, conference rooms and theatre style conference rooms clearly prove that Narayani heights is a MICE enabled property. Apt for holding off sites, meetings and conferences, it is well equipped for corporates and business events.

Not only for Corporates, but also for leisure trips as well Narayani Heights appeared to be friendly. As I was exploring the property,  I realized that there was a dedicated luxury family club. Which is generally not there amongst other 5 * category hotels.

The luxury family club hosts lounges, Games zone, discothèque, mini theatre, kids club, fitness centre, spa, parlour, library and more.

Game Zone included area for carrom board, chess, table tennis and billiards. Lot of arrangement was there for carrom board and chess games. I was really impressed with the facility. Clearly visible the amount of money, effort, heart and soul put in to build this marvellous property. Everything was well thought and designed keeping in mind various kinds of travellers like business, family or other tripsters.

Swimming pool and O2 Spa have soothing interiors. Although I did not get a chance to swim and experience spa but swimming pool was appealing. O2 spa being a strong brand does not need to be explained about the good experience that one can have there.

Kids club was fascinating as well. There were many games, tools and entertaining equipments for kids in kids club like video games, swings, board games. Kids of all ages could spend their whole day without a single complaint. The room was very neat and clean and hygienically kept. So, I would be rest assured to send my kids to this club.

I could not believe when I heard that Narayani Heights has got a mini theatre. Staff also told me that the latest pictures get featured there.

Hotel also has a Discothèque named Electron The Disc Lounge.  Dance and music lovers would just love this discothèque. Wow, a one stop destination for all kind of entertainment. I wanted to stay in this hotel for at least 2 more days to enjoy everything.

There was a big lawn too that can accommodate more than 4000 people at any given time. One can hold events like marriages, functions, birthday parties and even award ceremonies there.

There was an open air terrace to hold parties and functions for 600 people. A separate dedicated elevator is provided for that only. When I went there, some party preparation was happening. It was a big open area.

Our Room at Narayani Heights

Amongst 82 rooms at Narayani Heights, there are three categories of rooms Standard, superior and executive suite. Our room was of superior category. It had a lawn view beyond which was a green belt. So, the scene from our room was excellent.

Our room was well equipped with all modern amenities like tea/coffee maker, mini bar, iron, electronic safe, LCD TV etc. Bathroom too was fitted with everything including dryer, bath tub, weighing machine etc.

We even got a chance to see the sun set from our room. What a view it was! Very beautiful experience. That day, sun appeared to wear a peculiar colour which is generally different from other sunset colours. It was lovely scene.

Kids loved their room. They were happy watching their favourite TV channels and taking bath.

Food at Coffee Shop was delicious. We had breakfast there which was a lavish spread. Another restaurant Dum Ka Zaika was a fine dining restaurant.

Whenever we requested in room dining, we relished dishes. We tasted Patra and dhokla , authentic Gujarati cuisine. I liked both the dishes. Sandwiches were my kids favourite always. I even liked tea and coffee prepared by them.

As I met with the owner of Narayani Heights- Mr. Rajiv , he was a very passionate hotelier. They had started with a little jungle garden restaurant which used to attract high profile crowds. Soon additional cottages were built around this garden and the restaurant became a part of tour under Gujarat Tourism. Then there was a strong focus on the hotel as a grand wedding destination. Narayani Heights witnessed massive NRI crowd pull and highly sophisticated wedding decors like Taj Mahal theme, Udaipur theme, Roman themes etc. Narayani Heights also became famous for breaking the record of largest jalebi of 5.8 ft.

All efforts are clearly visible in the property. I would term this property as a hidden gem in Gandhinagar. A must must experience be it for Business, leisure, family, honeymoon stays or Corporate off sites, banqueting.
