As we were driving to Rishikesh from Haridwar, we saw a restaurant named Dana Pani on the highway. Its appearance somehow lured us inside. What we saw inside was a peace of mind. Something on the theme of ‘you will get anything vegetarian you wish to eat’. Oh! mouth watering food.

Dana Pani offered a variety of food like Chole Poori, Lassi or buttermilk sweet or salty, dhokla, paneer pakora and other vegetables pakora, bread pakora, tikki, dosa etc.

We ordered poori chole, vegetable pakoras and lassi. All were very tasty, not at all oily or spicy. Perfect blend of spices in food. Everything made of pure ghee. We had a sumptuous meal. Kids too did not find it spicy.

To our surprise, there was some special sweets, which we had never seen. Gooseberry burfi, apple burfi, mango burfi and bael burfi. All of them have a shelf life of six months. These sweets were unique.

You must taste them and even take some back home for your dear ones. Most importantly, these sweets are nutritious as they are made of real fruits.

As we were in Dana Pani, enjoying our meal, it was all the time crowded. I could see the shelves getting empty in front of me. This clearly indicated that the restaurant is getting the traffic it deserved.

Overall, a stopover at this restaurant was stomach satisfying. You must visit it whenever going to or coming from Rishikesh. Dana Paani offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and sweets.
