Shawarma point is an authentic chain Lebanese food Outlet.

Located in Moments mall of Kirti nagar on the second floor in the food court, this outlet is just opposite the lift.

A big sparkling glass door welcomed us. It was a bay of four outlets sharing common seating arrangement. There were tables at the wall as well as in the middle of the bay. The place was neat and clean with people enjoying food.

We went to this outlet which boasted of Authentic Lebanese Kebabs. As we sat in food court , people around were ordering Lebanese dishes.

Kitchen was clean and we could see proper hygienic methods of preparing food.

One thing I observed that the air-conditioning, although working well, but little water was dripping from their vents.

Food

There were many tempting items in the menu. But since we were having Lebanese for the first time, we decided to order carefully.

Falafel

Hummus

We started off with starters, Falafel. It is a healthy shallow fried combination of peas,beans and vegetables with Lebanese spices served with flavoured hummus. It was a salted snack with perfect blend of accurate spices. Just like Indian green tikki , minus potatoes which made it a healthy snack. It was mouth watering.

Since Hummus is made of Chickpeas and seasame seeds, it is nutritious. It tasted bland as it is supposed to be. Very unlike North Indian spicy food. One has to develop a taste for Hummus.

We then ordered Non vegetarian platter.  It had Hummus, Fattoush chicken salad, chicken wings, skewer chicken Shish Tawouk with Pita, Pizza, Chicken Shawarma and ice tea.

Then there was Fattoush Salad,which was dressed up with a leventine bread salad made from toasted Pita bread, greens and seasonal vegetables with aroma of herbs giving zinzy lemony spice. Pita bread was thin and bland.

Chicken Shish Tawouk

Chicken shish tawouk , a Lebanaese style grilled and herb marinated of chicken accompanied with pita bread. It was not so juicy but chicken pieces were extremely soft. It was a dry dish.

Chicken Shawarma

Cilantro chicken shawarma- It is a choice of bread stuffed with chicken marinated in authentic herbs and spices with veg garlic sauce. This has good spices with loads of cheese and full of chicken pieces which makes it delicious. It was filling.

There were many other dishes which we did not taste, but you can still know their ingredients.Falafel shawarma- choice of bread stuffed with falafel , hummus and Arabic pickles with veg garlic sauce.

Chicken Pizza

Garden fresh sprouts shawarma- Choice of bread stuffed with fresh sprouts , green herbs served with veg garlic sauce.

The best was yet to come. Our favourite dish of the evening, which kids love the most.

The Labanese Pizza – Chicken DJEJ pizza , a thin crust Lebanese bread topped with chicken,sundried tomatoes , mozzerela and fresh basil. This was outstanding dish and one of the best pizzas I ever had. Since it has solid chicken pieces over a thin crust. Unlike other pizzas which have little chicken, this had chicken on the crust till the last bite which I liked. We had Ice tea and Green Apple Mojito , which again refreshed our senses.

Just to tell you , my husband is pretty conservative of his eating habits and does not like to taste new dishes. As we saw the menu, it had marked a thumbs up sign for the most popular dishes. The serving person at the outlet patiently clarified all his doubts and helped him order dishes. Now he is planning to take his friends out far a Lebanese pizza party.

Overall , it was a pleasant evening with a variety of healthy food.

I would recommend all to try this outstanding food outlet at least once , for a truly authentic Lebanese experience. I would suggest Falafel as starters , Chicken Pizza and Mojito as drinks.
