Floating village , isn’t the name fascinating? I was intrigued by the name. Is it that people spend the whole of their life floating?

Is it that they shop, eat, sleep, drink, educate, enjoy everything while floating?
These were some of the questions that I had before I reached the site and witnessed the reality myself.
Yes, Floating Village is a Village that has a whole community living on boats that are floating in water.
There are floating schools, floating shops, floating restaurants. Everything floating.
That’s so interesting.
Even the dispensary and post office too.
You can say what and how we live on land, they live in lake.
This floating village is in Tonle Sap in Siem Reap in Cambodia’s largest fresh water lake.
It’s a unique thing to see and one must must experience the same.
You get to see the lifestyle of people there. There are many wooden houses on boats one can see. I could see beautiful plants, clothes and church on boats.
The village moves with the flow of the river as per the season.
During dry season, these houseboats even sit on the floor of the lake.
I loved visiting the place. The concept was totally unique. Highly recommended destination.
